Founder & Director's Message
The Centre for Innovation and Sustainability Research (CISR) was founded with a singular conviction: that rigorous, empirical scholarship conducted in emerging economies must directly inform the global transitions toward sustainability, inclusive enterprise, and ethical technology governance.
Across South Asia and developing markets, small and medium enterprises, marginal women entrepreneurs, and academic institutions are encountering unprecedented structural transitions — from climate vulnerabilities and supply chain shocks to the ethical imperatives of artificial intelligence. Yet traditional academic silos too often disconnect local empirical realities from international policy discourse.
CISR bridges this divide. Through our interdisciplinary research clusters, international double-blind peer-reviewed journals (CJIT and CJSS), global conference platforms, and open data initiatives, we are cultivating a collaborative scholarly community dedicated to People, Ideas, and Impact.
