Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement
CISR journals follow the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Plagiarism & Originality Screening
Submissions must represent original, unpublished work. CISR journals employ automated similarity detection tools (Turnitin / iThenticate). Any paper exhibiting substantial unauthorized textual overlap, redundant publishing, or self-plagiarism will be summarily rejected.
2. Authorship & Contributorship Standards
Authorship credit should be based on ICMJE criteria:
- Substantial contributions to the conception, design, acquisition of data, or analysis.
- Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
- Final approval of the version to be published.
- Accountability for all aspects of the work.
"Ghost", "guest", or "gift" authorship is strictly prohibited. AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) cannot be listed as authors.
3. Conflict of Interest & Funding Disclosures
All authors must declare any personal, financial, or institutional relationships that could inappropriately influence their work. Explicit funding statements must detail grant numbers and sponsoring organizations.
4. Corrections, Retractions & Expressions of Concern
CISR promptly investigates allegations of research misconduct. In the event of honest errors, errata or corrigenda are published. If severe scientific misconduct, data fabrication, or major copyright infringement is verified, formal retractions are issued following COPE retraction guidelines.
